The Master's Church

Core Values

God-Glorifying

The glory of God is the highest goal of The Master’s Church. We desire to come together to worship the Triune God of Scripture. From the opening prayer, through the music, message and fellowship we intend all glory to go to God. We give glory to God by magnifying Him in every aspect of the worship service. The Master’s Church recognizes that this must be our starting place and primary core value in order to do church right.

To Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. -Ephesians 3:21

CHRIST-CENTERED

The Master’s Church will be Christ-Centered in everything we do. When you attend our worship service you will recognize that Jesus Christ has center stage. Whatever we engage in as a Church, we will do it with the intentional mind-set that it is all about Jesus. We are absolutely committed to make much of Jesus, our great and loving Savior. We are not into man-centered gimmicks, fads, or attractions, but we are into Christ! We exalt Him! We preach Him! We love Him! We live in Him! We are about Him!

He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. -Colossians 1:18

Bible-Driven

The Master’s Church holds the Bible up as the final authority for all matters of faith and practice. We hold to what the Reformers called “Sola Scriptura.” That means that the Bible alone is the final Word! The Bible alone determines doctrine! The Bible alone determines how we operate in the church! The Bible alone directs us in what we engage in and what we do not! When you come to The Master’s Church you will see a difference in how we handle the Bible. We really believe it, we really teach it and we really live by it!

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. -2 Timothy 3:16-17

Gospel-Saturated

The Master’s Church’s desire is to be Gospel-Saturated. In other words, we are intentional in teaching the Gospel on a regular basis in order to instill the realities of it in our lives. We put a major emphasis on reinforcing the truths of the Gospel so that we are prepared to share it and live it. From the pulpit, to the classroom, to our printed materials, on our website and social media outlets, we consistently explain what the Gospel is and how it changes our lives.

Only let your conduct be worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear of your affairs, that you stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel. -Philippians 1:27

Evangelism-Minded

The Master’s Church will direct our attention, energy and resources to share the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Church’s mission is not only to understand the Gospel, but to spread its message far and wide. We accomplish this through posting our sermons on the internet, international missions and local evangelism. We put a strong emphasis on encouraging our congregants to get out in the highways and byways to communicate the truth of the Gospel so others can repent, believe and receive eternal life.

But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. -Acts 1:8

Growth-Determined

The Master’s Church believes in growing spiritually strong disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ. This core value comes from Jesus’ Great Commission to His disciples for them to go out and make disciples (Matthew 28:19). By application, this is a directive from Jesus to the Church. A disciple is someone who follows Jesus’ teachings and way of life. They are continually learning, growing and maturing in the faith. We desire those who attend to learn and grow closer to Christ so their life will be one the Lord is pleased with. In turn, we want mature disciples to disciple others to learn, grow and mature.

Like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation. -1 Peter 2:2

Prayer-Focused

In Acts chapter two we see the early disciples gathered for a prayer meeting when the Holy Spirit started the church. This emphasis on prayer is the pattern we at The Master’s Church follow. We are intentional to pray together as a Church in the unity of the faith. God uses the prayers of His people to unfold His divine will. The Church is established on the foundation of prayer both corporately in the Church and individually outside the Church. We will pray for everyone who comes to The Master’s Church and desire all who attend to submit their prayer requests to the Elders for intercession.

Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. -Colossians 4:2

Grace-Purposed

Grace is the DNA of The Master’s Church. We have a sense of God’s grace surrounding us that feeds our gratitude and drives our passion to love Christ and others. We as believers have experienced grace and therefore we focus on the freedom we have in Christ and not on legalism. Being a Grace-Purposed Church means we take sin seriously, but we will not major on the minors. We will major on the forgiveness of sins and the new life we possess in Christ. We want everyone who enters our doors to experience God’s amazing grace!

1 Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. -Romans 5:1-2
